“The PHA UK was kind enough to support me in my awareness raising walk up Glyder Fawr in Wales (1001 meters high) in September 2021 during the pandemic. In the photo you can see me sporting a campaign t-shirt as I paused from training for my walk.

I was really moved by all the stories of other patients [shared by the charity] – their drive, their motivation, their love for life. I was especially moved by the feats and campaigns featured in Emphasis [their member magazine] during the pandemic.

And so, I dedicated my walk to them, and to all the doctors and nurses and researchers that have been supporting me since I was diagnosed in 2007.”
